Asus K61IC X3
Ok so the specs/reviews/whatever are here
http://reviews.cnet.com/laptops/asus...-33902625.html
I was wondering if there is anything similar to it,I dont want to pay $850 when I can pay maybe $600ish if i buy a laptop with same specs without blueray.
I need it for all around use,but i want to play games on it too,the one with highest specs i currently have (and i will have for some time since i bought a ps3 and dont need to buy games on pc) is MW2,and i read a review about a guy that says it plays it flawlessly.Second problem is intel core 2 duo...ive heard bad things about it..the other one i like is this one
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16834220602
Same problem with procesor tho,and this time its only 1.30ghz.
Only thing i like about this one that the other doesnt have,is the battery life...according to some reviews, the K61IC lasts about 2 hours...
So anything similar to this computers thats cheaper? Not looking to build it,preffer that if you show a laptop its aveilable in bestbuy,cotsco,compusa,etc...I just need it for CASUAL GAMING.I realize that asus is for more HC Gaming -BUT IT CAN BE NEWEGG OR A WELL KNOWN SITE-

Wins. Corei5 + 310m GPU. Nothing in that price area can touch that. I was surprised I found something that robust for under 900 tbh... Buy it and be a happy little camper.

Core2 Duo is outdated at this point, unfortunately. But, I hope it serves you well. Enjoy it.

That laptop I suggested is more than you wanted, yes. However, it will outlast your current choices by significant margins, and won't need to be updated for at least 5-6 years.
Note, it is a big laptop though. 17.3" screen is a whopper! Heavy because of it too. But... it packs a potent tech punch. It's a cutting edge notebook with proven technology for under 1000. That's a win win in my opinion!

Hey,found out i cant get either of those...the asus is just 50 bucks more than the toshiba so yea...would like if youd help me tho,i just need it for casual gaming...as long as it plays guild wars on high,bioshock/fallout/garrys mod/etc on mediumish then its ok,also if itl play gw2.I couldnt find an intel i3/i5/i7+nvidia graphic card for less than 850 (least an asus ones, and yes i want an asus unless you think another brand is better for lower price)
So i was thinking, can i get a laptop with integrated graphic cards and still play fallout, bioshock and above all guild wars 2 on it on atleast medium settings?something like this ones

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16834220633 (why is the proccesor so slow?)

I would go for the MSI with the 130M and the Core 2 Duo cpu - should handle what you want it to do although I doubt it will handle Fallout 3 at max...

KK so luckily,i found out compusa has the same prices.I preffer compusa cuz i can order it from there to my compusa store then buy it there and have the warranty in puerto rico instead of usa so i dont have to send pc to usa if it is damaged...
so the msi was 799 on compusa too,but i found this asus one for 799 too...
i think its better imo,but you know just wanted to ask ^^
http://www.compusa.com/applications/...723&CatId=4938
or
http://www.compusa.com/applications/...870&CatId=4938
i preffer the asus over the sony (for things ive heard about the BRAND) but the video cards, idk which is better.always used nvidia tho..thanks for your time again ^^

The Asus kicks the other's but for gaming, but neither one would be as powerful as the MSI model. Still though for the needs you have I think it would be better to get the one that ships to Puerto Rico (stupid me didn't notice where you were buying from before). That gpu should handle the games you mentioned although I'm sure Fallout will need to have graphics settings lowered to play smoothly.

Yea but the msi is on compusa too ^^ same price
MSI:
http://www.compusa.com/applications/...54799&CatId=17
Asus
http://www.compusa.com/applications/...#detai lspecs
I think the Asus is better, the proccesor is i3 compared to intel core 2 duo...also it is 64 bit while msi is 32..although as i said i dont know the difference between the ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5470 and nvidia 130m (the ati has 1gig ddr3,while the nvidia has 512 ddr3)
So from what i see, with the same price the ASUS is alot better in everything exept resolution

the video card in the MSI is better and that is the hands down largest factor when it comes to playing video games. check out www.notebookcheck.com if you want to compare them.
